Default idle emissions tests are not accurate

just a heads up to anyone havin problems passing idle emissions tests. my car failed the idle test twice with almost twice the acceptable levels of hydrocarbons. the emissions testing place used the idle test on my car instead of the rolling test because of my rims. apparently the rollers could possibly damage the rims.

the quick fix to this? put on your stock rims and tires. while failing the idle test horribly i take the car to a shop cause i was outta ideas on what was causing it. they swapped the rims and low and behold i passed with flying colors with nothing else. apparently the idle test is screwed and gives false fails.

so just a heads up for anyone that gets a bad idle emissions test.

btw i live in the chicagoland area.
