Default Identifying OEM panels?

99-00 EK panels are special order at my dealership so I wont be able to check myself. I am in the midst of ordering an assload of parts from Majestic for my hatch and need to know what aftermarket panels to replace. I know one fender is aftermarket because it has a "gathers" stamp or something or other on it and the other has nothing, not even a vin sticker. But the car was repainted so the vin sticker could have been sanded off. I am only concerned about the fenders and bumper cover. Is there actual stamps in the molding on the fenders or front bumper cover? Thanks.

i dont think new replacement parts for the civic ek at the dealer comes with vin number. only if you bought the car brand new they will have a vin on every part. even if you were to buy a brand new engine from the dealer it wont have vin

I know this much, but I know the previous owner skimped out on repairing the front end and bought alot of ****-fitting parts. Some of our honda panels come stamped, some come with only a sticker that over time falls off. Im wondering if OEM bumpers and fenders have any kind of identifiers to determine if it's real or not.

Yeah, it should have some type of combo of numbers and letters or a simple Honda stamp.

That's how it is when you order online. I'm sure they're closed by now. Aren't they based in FL?

if you buy brand new it wont come with a vin. they are not just gonna make it for you. and yes usually if the car is all stock like the 96-00civics they have vins on the trunk, fr and rr bumpers, grill, and fenders

Ok guys, I am aware that new panels do not come with vins... I'm saying that there are no vins on the front end of this car, so I am asking for other identifiers to tell whats oem and whats not...

But isn't this a replica? You're paying too much for this I think. I would just find used OEM parts.

Too much IMO. It's replicated and it's extra for side markers kit. So why pay the extra? I can get a fake fender for $50.

That's too much. From either site. You're going to end up up painting it. I'd say take your time, mix and match parts. What's wrong with what you have?

This is what I would do:

Fake: L & R fenders, bumper

OE: Si lip, grill, hood, head lamps, core

This is what I'm going to do for my 92 Vx.(minus the grill, Ex/Sir front lip)

From majestic:

Front bumper: $178
Fenders: R $190, L $187
Hood: $262
Total: $817

This doesn't include the front lip and shipping.

Levan Group semi-fake route for me:

Front bumper: $42, OEM recondition: List price: $222, Sale price: Call
Fenders: $58, Capa Certified: $62
Hood: $126, Capa Certified List price $375, Sale price: Call

No damn junk yards in middle tn that carry hondas.. It's wierd. Seems like nobody in the states has spare body panels in the marketplace unless they are out of the country, which with shipping I could buy a new set, let alone hoping I dont get scammed...
