Identifying a d16y8 intake manifold
I just picked up a spare d16y8 intake manifold on ebay. It is supposedly from a '96 d16y8. I currently have a '98 d16y8. The ebay IM looks like my current manifold. However I noticed that the numbers stamped on the back of the IM are different.
P2K IPT-4 (on my current manifold)
P2K IPT-2 (on the ebay manifold)
Do these numbers mean anything to anyone else? Any other way to make sure that this IM isn't from another civ?

Re: Identifying a d16y8 intake manifold (kommon_sense)
i beleive the number at the end is the lot number....meaning the time and place it was forged and created...
as long as the first set of numbers and letters are good and the same, then your ok...
basically if it says p2k, and yours is p2k then your good...that code designates it for your engine i beleive

Re: (AlphaQup)
Here's a '00 manifold with air-injection off a manual. note....the large diameter hole on the throttle body flange. That feeds the idle motor, on the back of the manifold. The auto manifolds don't have that.
