Default ice/frost forming on inside of windshield??

I have a 92 cx and i woke up this morning to go to work and i got in my car and started it up to get it warm. i noticed a thin layer of frost/ice on the windshield. i was like ok i got time and i just let the defroster take care of it. it was taking a while so i went outside to scrape it off and then i noticed it wasnt even on the outside, it was on the inside. It was the same **** that usually forms on the outside only it was on the inside. anyone else ever have this problem. i have no clue as to why it happened. My doors were secure and the windows were all the way up. I checked that. Anyone offer a reason or a solution. Thanks

Does the car have A/C?

Did you have it on full defrost? I believe the compressor runs on full defrost to help remove moisture. Could also cause a little ice to form, rom the cool air from the evaporator...

Get rid of the water in your carpet or floor mats. With lower temperatures over night and that added moisture in the car will cause condensation on your windows. If you find its next to impossible to remove all water from your interrior, try leaving one of your windows just slightly open(a few mm)it will permit the moisture to escape....Hope this helps

make sure the drain holes are plugged up too. i know there is at least one in the spare tire wheel well. start from there, moisture has to be getting in from somewhere.

used to happen to me all the time because I had a huge crack in my windshield.. got the windshield replaced and it hasnt happened since. there is prolly a compromise in the integrity of your windshield somewhere.

Happened to my 91 Accord and a lot of my friends cars here all the time, new and old. My only suggestion would be to start the car up 5 minutes earlier and let it defrost.
