Alright I went took it a part but I wasn't sure when it was clean. Later that night I went out took a high rpm drive. When I stopped the high idle returned. I did not reset my ecu could that be what caused it to come back.

I think I understood part of your question. If you are throwing a CEL and you don't reset the ECU, then yes, the CEL light will stay on.

I took apart my idle control valve and cleaned with a carb cleaner. Then I went ahead and pu it back to normal, it was idleing well. Later that night went crusing and when we finally stoped it was idleing high again.
