Default IAT code remains after connector swap

I just bought a car boosted equiped with s300 and its got a cel for IAT. I researched the wire colors and found it was plugged up wrong. For about 10 minutes the cel was off and the car ran great then it popped on. I looked at the log from s300 and the temp went slowly from 102 degrees to -30 then the light came on a the temp stays at 123.4 the whole time the light is on. Any input is appreciated.

The IAT and evap purge plugs are the same shape, was the wrong plug plugged in? It can fry the IAT sensor and a small component on the ecu.

The wrong plug was plugged up and I changed the plugs around. At first it works then when it gets warm the iat shows it climbing up slowly and then goes straight to 123.4 and the cel comes on. Could the iat be fried because it was plugged up wrong?

Aftermarket IAT is like 20 bucks, but you can test it first with an ohm meter, I tested mine last week and got weird numbers.
