Hey more power to ya (hahaha) and congratulations. If I could afford a new EVO VIII then I would likely make the switch from the theft-magnet-hybrid-makes-me-look-like-a-teenager scene, but I cant do that for another year.
Ok, that affected me as well. Most of the people in "the scene" that drive cars like mine were in diapers when I started shaving. Perhaps it's time for a more mature car. A four wheel drive 271hp supercar seems a TAD bit more mature.

The EVO VIII is a serious car, big performance for $30g's and its made for drivers... I can only imagine how much fun you willl have behind the wheel of that bright red monsta'
It's already proven it's worth in the Virginia snow today. It handles better than the hatchback even on dry pavement, and God help me, the ride is better. Nothing like forged aluminum suspension pieces from the factory, eh?

Wow, I don't blame you at all. If I had the chance to change over to an evo I would in a second. Have fun with it and please don't leave this website, it is more than just hondas.

It was a Pleasure Having you on the board, I wish more Educated People Like yourself were on the board!

You have a very nice car now, But I would have waited for the STI or Just Saved little more for 03' Cobra!

Good Luck, Eric

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

You are kidding right?

The highest horsepower per displacement engine sold in a production car in the U.S.?

The confidence that a you can hang with a 911 Carerra 2 not only in the 1/4 mile, but also around a lap of a good roadcourse?

Try to get a front wheel drive Honda converted to all wheel drive with limited slip differential and viscous coupling with world beater brakes for $30k and see.

i know its a totally different car, but its just not me.
Ok, so maybe you DO understand that it's a totally different car than the Lancer, and I respect that it's "just not you", but thinking it's the same as the 15K FWD Lancer with some extra options isn't really realistic. The Evolution is a legitimate supercar, fair and square, and it has graced the cover of almost every car magazine once within the past 12-14 months for a reason.

Thanks. I can be an *** from time to time, though.

Like I said above, I don't think the STI would have been for me. On top of being more expensive, better drivers than I say that it tends to drift a lot more than the EVO around a track. It may be a little ahead of the EVO when (and if) it gets here. However, the EVO is here NOW, and it's freakin' AWESOME.

Nice choice! I too think that the EVO is the best car in the US by far, with the whole package and great price, good luck with it. By the way, going to get any parts for it? I know Ralliart have all kinds of parts out for it already, great choice!!
But I still love my EK for the power and gas milage and all kinds of thing I can do with it.

the EVO has sure grown on me. any plans for it yet?

It's still kinda weird to see the new evo. like it's a dream. first we get mazaspeed protege, then 350Z , then the WRX, then the SRT-4 , and now the new EVO. I don't know about you guys but in the import and sport compact world it doesn't get any better....but then again the WRX STi is just right around the corner. dam don't forget the new RX-8 too. now if they only bring back the supra, that would be sweet!!

oh so who will be the new spelling ****?

No, it's handmade by Mitsubishi in Japan. Not a "cookie cutter" factory piece.

Mods? Definately not yet. I may add some of the factory pieces, but not much else.

I'm not sure it'll fit into any league. It is completely stock, and I might be able to sneak it in here and there, but it's obviously a ringer.
