I Need Motor Help! D15B8
Hello Everyone, sorry I haven't really introduced myself. Pardon my username, I'm Daniel, and I drive a 1994 Civic hatch CX. I've had a username here at HT for a while but never really used it until recently after my engine got fixed and I found new hope in working on my car.
Well, heres the problem:
I recently got work done on the motor (well redone) because the mechanic was a total jip and I had to go in multiple times to get it fixed. Reason why I let him redo his job was because I had a warranty and he's a family friend.
I blew my motor about a year and a half ago because I didn't have time to tend to the knocking sound the engine was making. My fault. I didn't really have a choice (or time) to do a motor swap, and towing would've been expensive all the way back home from where my engine blew (50 something miles), so I left it at the guy's shop and eventually he fixed the problem. 2 of the cylinders died as a result of the incident and was restored.
On and off, the car was overheating. Doing usual, I changed the hoses, tstat & gasket, water pump, etcetc and even the radiator fan and in the end, the overheating was due to the mechanic's poor fix.
SOO i managed to bring my car back there and AGAIN, he fixed his errors.
Last night I put in some NGK Spark Plug Cables, and I found out one of them didn't fit properly. I switched it back to OEM just to compare the differences, and some shots of inside.
It looks like theres a piece of loose metal in there... should i just try and take it out? Tomorrow i'm going to get it checked, but in the meantime is there anything i can do?
Its a stock rebuilt d15b8. thanks HT.

if the piece of metal looks like it's clamped on the tip of the plug then it came off the new wire. pull the plug, get the piece off then take the wires back to get them exchanged. They should have a warranty.
