Default I need help with 99 b16a2

Whats up everyone? I have a problem and maybe someone can help me. I recently purchsed a b16a2 and the damn thing is bad. I have replaced so many parts on the motor and i only need one part left, the distributor. The problem is that nobody around my way has a distributor. Everywhere the damn part is on backorder or somebody bought the last one. Is there a way that i can bypass the damn problem.? Maybe by cutting and splicing wires or something. This swap was started in early august and i am tired of waiting. Can anybody help by telling me where i can get a distributor fast or can anyone sell me one for a 99 b16a2?

what dist was your old one? you can use the 99 si vtec dist casing with your old coil pack (not sure if its called that, but its the wghole package think when you open up the dist) just so the harness will plug up to your plugs........

all dohc vtec distributors will work, but the plugs are different from OBD to OBD. The ones I posted will bolt up and work 100%. There were like 10 times as many OBD1 GSR distributors on thepartstrader, just be sure you don't get ripped off. Get the guys address, name, phone number, etc. Send a money order only if you feel like you might get burned. This way you can keep the money order as evidence and you'll be sure you have the right addy.

And yes, I got mine for $150 shipped. About 2 days later, I found one for $100 shipped..doh

i found one in jersey from this guy and it turns out we have a mutual friend that goes to school around my way. Tonight i am giving our friend 250 to give to the kid. She is going home to jersey this weekend so i will have it by sunday. The distributor came with my b16a2 and it was damaged during shipping, along with the throttle body. This swap didn't even come with axels, shift linkage, or an ecu. So i got an ecu, new axels, and shift linkage. Yo madtown do you belong to jdmcivic.com? the reason why i ask is because your name looks familiar

that's nothing. My swap came as a long block w/o 3 mounts, alternator, distributor, plug wires, etc. It came w/ nothing. I had to wait for it all to come on a separate pallet. When I got it, dist was wrong, ecu was wrong, intermediate shaft never came, out of 3 axles I got, 1 worked, one is wrong, the other is broken, no shift fork in the tranny, wrong shift linkage, and there is more.

What's worse is that I had to source the parts and they refunded me. I spent about $50 out of pocket AT LEAST on bolts and little brackets, etc. Oh, I ordered it 4 months ago and it will finally be done end of this weekend. BUT NOT IN TIME FOR THE HUGE MEET IN CHICAGO. Me=

And yes, I am owned by JDMcivic.com as well as 15+ other boards
