i got a 99 civic Si, when it is cold it wont idle and when it warms up it don't like to idle normal. any suggestions

also its a fresh rebuild, and vtec is not engaging, if it is it is not as loud as it was before, i think it is the valves are adjusted to tight, any suggestions

may very well be that, did a lash adjustment in the freezing winter and it took me a month to figure out thats whats it was. It would die when cold and barely idle right when warm. any cels?

if it wont warm up then the thermostat could be stuck open and VTEC wont engage anyway because your car isnt at opperating temp

ah ha i figured it out, it wouldn't idle because the valves were to tight, and vtec wouldn't engage b/c the oil pressure sensor was malfunctioning
