What motor is this? Also seems like too much if its a D series. You might as well go turbo with that much.

yes its a d series, but where can i get a turbo for 1k..even piecing together i cant find any....if u can help me piece together a turbo or at least give me some pointers on where to go im all for it...but my car is all stock and i figured the IHE would be a good place to start....again like i said, id turbo it, but i thought it would be more around the 2k range and kits are way outta my price range....

in the end turbo is best man , but if your set on only spending 1k u gotta do what u gotta do . Turbo will end up costing you at least 2k once you have everything and you finish tuning. Im doing what our doing to, just I/H/E.

By the time you piece together a decent turbo you'll still end up buying other small little parts and you'll have to spend the money on tuning. If you absoluelty want i/h/e, i'd upgrade to a stock 94-01 integra intake(i have one myself on my Y8 with the k/n filter stock replacment), used dc headers (used not new), and purchase the apexi ws2 (used if possible). There shouldn't much of a problem finding the integra intake or the used dc headers, you just might end up buying the ws2 brand new. I got mine for $300 brand new, bought it off a ht member. Overall you shouldn't break the $600-$700 barrier.

If you are thinking about going turbo in the future, I would go with a good cat back. It will make some noise and you will be able to use it later. The header and intake can't be used. Keep saving up the rest to go toward piecing together a turbo setup, or some wheels, and suspension if you haven't done so already.

x2! and if you really want an intake, get a cheap ebay intake, make sure its a 2.5" and not a 3" though. as far as intakes go, why pay 200-300 bucks for the same piece of aluminum piping that places the filter in the same location as the cheap ebay ones? just my .02

~$430 Apex-i WS2
~$180 Megan Racing 4-2-1 header (just as good as DC Sports)
~$100 AEM Short Ram Intake
~$100 Magnaflow Direct Fit High Flow Catalytic Converter (might as well... can give you 2 HP or so... don't do a test pipe though)

~$810

Apex-i can be found in certain online stores for $420-430 shipped. You can find the Megan Racing header on eBay for around $180 shipped. AEM Short Ram intake on eBay for $103 shipped. Magnaflow direct fit High Flow Catalytic converter on summitracing.com for $100.

For SRI's, buying AEM is more cost effective than buying eBay, because the filter that comes with an eBay generic intake sucks. To elaborate, they have horrible dirt filtration and are pretty restrictive.

eBay SRI + name brand filter = ~$100
AEM SRI = ~$100

However, for CAI's, you are correct. Waste. Of. Money. For CAI's, just buy eBay and get a nice filter for it.

Get the eBay intakes. They are just as good. I have one on my DX, with a AEM Dry Flow filter. The total cost was $80 and I couldnt be happier.
