I found an EK HB, is this a fair price?
I have been shopping for an EK for awhile. As recently as of today I found an EK HB local to me. It is missing the following parts... ft. bumper, headlights, hood, engine, airbags, and front seats. He wants $2500 for it, my question is this... If this is you what would you offer? From what I understand the body is in good shape, with the exception of being hit in the front, but that was repaired. Please help me out...TIA, Oops forgot one other thing. Its also missing the interior carpet.

no way missing all that stuff, for $3,000 for can get a stock one w/everything
one with no engine should be easily under $2,000
one with no engine and crashed with missing parts and interior is worth about $500
hope this isn't to late and you baught that p.o.s

I wanna get rid of my EG/EJ coupe. I am burnt out on the EG/EJ coupe. I really want something else. I was thinking of EK. I would build it to USDM/JDM CTR specs. Are there CTR door panels with manual controls vs. power?

I saw a stock 96 ek dx for sale the other day and they wanted 6,900 for it. I asked them if they would come down in price they said no way. I simply smiled and walked away.

You can get CTR door panels with power.
You are better off using Civic Ex panels though.
Do a search on topics created by YumVtec..he did a write up on how to convert to power.

No my question was, did the CTR come with manual doors? I would rather have manual then power anyways. fowler, aren't you from S. CA.? Also what is a fair price for the 99-01 Si/EK bumpers, headlights? I am not worried about the hood. Carbon Fiber hood

Oh yeah, there were some that came with manual..
Fair price...I wouldn't pay more than 400...it'd be hard to sell without the hood though..
edit: yeah, San Diego

So $400 for the door panels? How about front seats? I was thinking of doing ITR. But not too sure yet though. What would you suggest Fowler or anyone for that matter?

Sorry, the $400 I was refering to was the front end.
Here is my only problem with ctr door panels. They are black where as the the stock civic color is a sorta dark grey. They don't match up...but you can take the arm rest things off and kinda plastic weld them to the stock units.
ITR seats would be my bet. Fairly cheap (well, relatively) and easy to find. If you're lucky you can get a CTR back seat..that'd be butter

that is way too much. i saw one in my town(phx)complete w/ little fender damage on the right for 3000. and it was at a dealership. keep looking if you have a car to take you around. you can get a way better deal. if any thing offer the person like 1800. no more than 2000. keep looking
good luck

Well I am not too worried. I plan on having it towed to a body shop to check the frame. But thanks for the concern.
