Well I found a car 30 miles south of here. I'm trying to figure out what to offer. here is the rundown.

94 Civic CX
No AC
86k miles
That lame blue interior (no rear speakers)
CD player (big f'n deal)
New paint (the only problem is I dont know how good of a paint job it is, looks great)
Decent interior (has scratches and is worn in a couple places)

Cracked (all the way through) windsheild. It's cracked to the point it needs to be replaced.

The dealer (small dealer) its at is a fucktard and doesn't seem to know much about the car. He is asking $4995 for it (yeah f'n right ).

I was thinking to offer somewhere between $2500-$3000 in cash to him. Another member of this board told me I probably won't be able to get it for that.

I got a quote to repair the windsheild today of $338.

What are your opinions people who have gone through this?

Tell that dealer to go **** THEMSELVES!! They want $5k for a car with a cracked windshield? Can't pass inspection with a cracked windshield and as you mentioned it's gonna cost you over $300 to get it replaced.. I know it's difficult, but don't show too much enthusiasm for the car. I would offer no more than $3500 for it.. Good luck..

What inspection are you talking about? Maybe I can tell him I am moving to Cali and will have to replace the windsheild

Oh well, i wouldnt pay over 2k for it buts thats just me
