Default hydro tranny

someone told me to put a hydro b series tranny but i have no idea what it is or what its out of or y its so much better than a regular tranny... someone help me figure it out please

...what kind of car/motor you have? you cant just put a b series tranny in any motor...

Hydro means hydraulic. There's two types of trannies you can use, cable and hydraulic. What this refers to is what style of clutch you have. Cable uses a cable running from the clutch pedal to pull the fork back and disengage the clutch (IIRC). Hydraulic uses a series of hydraulic pumps to push the fork and disengage the clutch.

Hydraulic trannies were used on 94+ Integras. Anything before that was cable.

Hydraulic trannies were used on 92+ Civics. Anything before that was cable.

I believe those are the right years anyways. There's advantages and disadvantages to each, but honestly, cable has gone the way of the do-do bird and no car has used it since the early 90's.
