Hunting Idle After ECU Reset?
Just out of couriosity. is it normal for the RPM`s to go between 1500 and 2000 a few times after you pull the fuse or pull off the negative battery connection? i know it`s not much of a 'tech' question, but I`m just wondering.

Stock 95 Civic?
Why did you reset the ECU?
There can be a brief idle relearn period after resetting the ECU, but it tends to be a low idle issue.

Re: Hunting Idel After ECU Reset?
I have a short ram intake and a cheap Ebay catback on it, so not really stock. I did it since I installed foglights and the myth that you have to reset the ecu if put in a new exhaust? It does it about 4 or 5 times than it idles normal, and the cel is not on. And I believe that an auto D16Z6 has an idle of 600 +-50.

Re: Hunting Idle After ECU Reset?
I`ve only driven about 10 miles on it. But I did miss one little bit of detail, it only happened once, and that`s when I started the car after I reset the ECU. The other starts after that, has no hunting idle and slows as the car warms up.
