Default Reset ECU, LOW RPMS NOW

I reset my ECU yesterday due to my a/c problems, and now, after driving for about 5 minutes, my idle will go down to about 100 rpms at any stop. The car stutters but does not stall. It's a 96 LX automatic.

What's the car supposed to be doing when it sits? Mine just idles right there at around 600 rpms. I'm going to take it out for a drive in a few to see if it falls again.

its just sopposed to sit there and chill no really its supposed to allow the ecu to "learn" how to idle the engine. even though the ecu is programmed with certain perameters there isnt just one for for a term like "idle". you may idle with no acc. on or you may have your stereo and headlights on thus loading the engine the same goes for your a/c power steering etc. ive had the same thing that you described happen and reset the ecu allowing it to idle for 5-10 mins. and all was good. not saying its your solution but its something you can quickly try

I reset the ECU and allowed to idle. It still idles low when on the street (500 rpm) but not at the 100 rpm it was at before. I just bought some new wires (APC ugh) and am getting some NGK Iridiums on Thurs., so maybe these things will all help.

No CELs, I reset in an attempt to fix my AC woes. Ater I had my battery jumped (drained while helping a friend with his car at night, even THOUGH I HAD IT RUNNING FOR 30 mins in the middle), the climate control buttons are reversed. There's an ongoing thread (search by creator, danslerugueux) with no solutions, and I figured resetting the ECU could help.

No problem before the reset. I installed my AEM CAI recently and didn't reset at that point but did notice a drop in idle rpm from 1200 to 900. After the reset this time is when it dipped so low. It's around 500-600 idle now, which is alright I guess.

Thanks a bunch, I think my AC control unit is fried. I'll check around to see if I can find a used one for cheap and fix the problem.

i searched and this is what ive come to the conclusion:

idle car for 15 mins turn off

pop hood

take out ecu fuse......DO WE TAKE OUT BACK UP TO?
leave out for 15 mins

start up car without fuses and let it sit

put back in fuses and start up car and let it sit for 15 mins

is that correct
i just checked liek 20 posts

every1 has different methods

LOL what?!? All you have to do to reset the ecu is disconnect the battery terminal for around 30 seconds... Or take out the ECU fuse.. whichever is easier for you..

Then start up the car let it idle for 5 - 10 mins and you're set..

It doesnt take 15 mins to reset the ecu.. and the car will not run if the ecu fuse it out.. You got all this off honda-tech?

500 rpms at idle is healthy or atleast not damaging, right?

The idle wont damage anything but it should be around 700-800.

Idle is back up to around 700 now. I don't know what happened. I changed spark plugs (NGK Iridiums) and added different gasoline, but it didn't change immediately. It just slowly climbed back up. <3 yay, healthy Y7!
