How old is to old???
My question has nothing to do with tuning, but i was wondering when is it time to give the whole "tuner" scene up?The reason i ask is because the other day i spotted a really nice 00 civic si that had a nice stance nice rims but a little on the fast & furious side for me,anyway the dude driving it had gray hair and just looked out of place driving that particular car.He looked as if he would be sporting a 69 chevy nova muscle car or something.i know its his car because i see him around quite a bit,i thought maybe it was his sons or something.Im 30 and i drive a 97 silver ek lowered with wheels and windows tinted nothing special just clean. So anyways back to my question how old is to old,or are we never to old?

Back home I knew a guy who had a nice benz with the amg package. CLK I believe. One day I turned around and he traded for a RSX-Type S. Grillecraft mesh and everything. I was puzzled but he said he had earned respect for Hondas and liked the way the car just "felt" over the Mercedes. Score for Honda....Its all in the way you look at it.

my comment to this is that "you are never too old to drive a honda"...if a guy likes a honda and hes old as hell, why cant he drive it?
theres no set age for hondas just like there is no set age for older muscle cars. old or young, they both drive hondas and muscle cars.

I can just imagine what that would look like. It would probably drop a couple of jaws as he would drive by.

personal preference in this case. I plan on keeping my civic for as long as i can/want to. Granted i'm only 21 now, i can definitely see myself driving it in 10-15 years down the road. I hope it won't be my only car, but i can also see myself getting a better car, whatever. i think it's kinda funny/cool to see an old man (80+) driving a modified civic, whatever works though.

shrug.. lets get real. honda's are a joke. It's a kid's car, we have 500whp civics that do nothing, and 200whp integras that can go fast.. at the end of the day its still a eco car.
If im 40 and in a civic.. shrug.. i guess i dropped out of grad school and lived ina box.

I don't think there is a too old to drive any car. I'm 25, and I drive a civic. I could afford a M3 if I wanted one. To me $800 a month for a car and insurance is retarded. That's almost $30 a day, and that's without figuring in gas/maintenance. The civic is the cheapest car to own. I've made mine better than it was, and a fun car to drive. It's still good on gas, and cheap to maintain. I could afford $50 boxers too, but the $8 ones serve the same purpose. Even if I made $2000 a week I wouldn't waste my money on crap like that. I'll be a Honda man for a long time.

I've heard people talk about this all too much. My family and friends especially. My family keeps tellin me I'm too old for this kind of stuff and that I need to focus on other things besides import cars and what not. I'm 21 and these cars are basically the kind of cars for my generation. They had Camaro, Mustang, GTO, etc...we have Civic, Integra, WRX, etc. They don't say anything about those people that are pushin 70 and still modifying those old muscle cars and roadsters. Some of my friends are feelin that in a year or two...they are goin to drop out of the scene and get into other things because they will be too old...24 being the oldest right now.
Oh well...I give props to an older person that has a clean *** car. Thats why I keep tryin to get my dad to get into the import scene somewhat. It's a lot cheaper and easier to find parts than for those old muscle cars. Eh...even if I sell my civic in the next few years to buy another car...still goin to be an import that I can make go faster. Whether it's an RSX, TL, WRX, etc...who knows...maybe even a Skyline with enough money, I'll make it go faster and look even nicer.

i think i'll have my del sol for a very long time. sometimes 2 seaters and small cars can be a big hassle at times, but i will always like it. i keep it street legal until it breaks down. by the time it does break down, i will be much older, because "its a honda," and "they last forever." i will make it race only after that, and have a much nicer car to drive around. i don't think you have to be a certain age to have a certain car. it may seem like that, but only to the ignorant. power to the people that started tuning and modifying at a young age, and more power to the people that stuck with tuning and modifying til they're gone.

see what these guys have to say about it.

Personally I think you are never to old to own a nice car and have fun driving it. That is unless you don't have the strength to push in the clutch or turn the steering wheel.

looks funny cause usually you see old guys with the cars they grew up with, but go Honda. I love my car, its the Honda feel. massive road response without being uncomfortable (stock that is). There just greatly engineered.
