How much should I expect to pay for a clean eghatch
Ok, so my hatch is getting on 110k miles,
and I love the hatch to death, but man ... the dents she has occured are pretty gnarly... and shes teal..
So I'm thinking either completely new paintjob/dentrepair or
find a mint hatch and buy that.
SO, if I were to get a new(well new 2me) car,
how much do you guys think I should expect to pay,
A completely straight body. color, either dark teal, or harvard blue.. or MAAYYYBE captiva blue pearl(i know they're rare colors, but I dont like red, wouldnt buy a white car or black car, although I do like it, and charcoal gray looks too dirty to me).
It'd have to have no major dings, and good paint, I could see myself respraying the bumpers and having tiny dings pulled out by a paintless dent repair.. but aside from that.. its gotta be perfect!
so what do you think i'm looking at?
I live in cali

often times what you should pay and what you can find dont match. You almost have to find someone willing to part with their daily driven, well maintained commuter car that doesn't realize they can rape people on the cost of a snatchback. If you have a hatch I'd keep and fix it...or @ least get an estimate on how much it would cost to make it look good.

Re: How much should I expect to pay for a clean eghatch (Apex i ITR)
I was thinking i'd just get a loan and drop like 3k on the body.
3k should be able to get it looking perfect i'd think(and i'd hopeso, sheesh).
but then.. at the same time, its like.. the car has 108k miles on it,
I know thats not alot for a honda mechanically(it'd probly run for another 300k with proper maintanence), but i'd like my perfect car to be under 100k.
like if I could find an eghatch with like.. 70-80k and a perfect body, i'd be stoked.
and if it hit 100k after me enjoying it for that long in such good condition, that'd be fine with me and i'd stick with it.
heh, I know my mind works in wierd ways.. but anyways back to the original Q

ok,
also I have done stuff to my hatch,
but all of it I can take off and put on my new hatch(if I get one).
so no worries there.
I'm mainly worried about getting one with a good interior like my current one!

if i was in your shoes, i'll just fix it and and swap the motor.
if you sell yours, you prob won't get that much
save up a little more money and fix it.

Strip the entire car bare, and start by painting the shell inside and out. New set of bushings and you're on your way.

I say stick with your own car. You know it better then anyone else. I just bought a EG with a swap.$3500. What a headache. Vtec dont work, ac dont work. Looking over the engine, finding wires that are not hooked up. I am amazed that it gets me to work.
Just keep yours. My car looks ok and that all I need. But it has to run RIGHT.
But if you got to have paint thats up to you. I like a good, fast motor over a few dings and a paint job. Just my$0.02

yeah I hear that,
a good motor is more important than some dings.
but mines prett effed, 1/4panel damage on both sides(cant just swap out those panels.. they're welded on )
