Everyone has their own ideas and opinions as to what they should do with their own vehicles; therefore, blindly asking this question is going to get you nowhere. You need to have some sort of goal in mind or this thread is totally pointless.

Re: how much out of b18b
there is an entire section of faq's for this.
your goal should not be psi it should be hp. 8 psi from a small turbo is not the same as 8 psi on a big turbo.
there are a lot of question to ask other than budget. when do you want full boost by? how much power? still streetable? do you want to build your bottom end and/or head? what are your long term goals?
it is also helpful to read before you ask and/or buy random parts that don't work together. and even when you ask, ask people that know what they are talking about and either have a boosted setup similar to yours and know their s**t. ask what the upsides/downsides of their setups are.
you could also go all motor or nitrous, that would involve high comp pistons, new rods, bearings, building, porting and polishing the head, that kind of stuff.
ultimately the way you approach your hp goal is up to you. do your research and decide for yourself

Re: how much out of b18b
i say if you're looking for 300 whp and you've got 3k, boost it and have it tuned
GT28RS BB turbo would treat you very well... I can send you a complete build, but id suggest before you decide to turbo you learn more about it.
A lot of things are under stress when you turbo, with a good tune, you'll be fine, but they do require more maintenance.
a GT28RS would safely take you to 300 whp, if you plan to DD the car i would run more like 270. You could handle 300, of course, i always just like the comfort of lower numbers.
Anyway, my suggestion is turbo, and i suggest the GT28RS, it shouldnt lag much at all.
other than that, its all up to you. i personally like the tial 50mm bov and 38mm wg. I hate log manis, im in love with ramhorn style manifolds.
Anyway. to list some parts you need to look for.
Injectors, fuel pump, chipped ecu to be tuned, piping, downpipe, wastegate, BOV, turbo manifold, the turbo itself, FMIC, misc bolts and couplers, oil feed lines, new tapped oil pan or tap the one you have. You can find every part you need here on hondamarketplace.com
Good luck.
