Default how to make an obd-1 b16 work...

i got a 96 hatch which is obd-2 and i got a b16 thats obd-1. i know its alot of hastle, but how would you make it work without getting the harness?

sell the obd1 distributor..get an obd2 dist...uhh..doesnt obd2 have some sensor on the oil pump? someone else add more

i think getting the harness is the easiest way of doing it.. remember that the ecu determines wheither its obd1 or obd2 not the engine.. we swapped an obd b18c1 in a friends 93 civic hatch and got an obd1 ecu and everything works perfect.. now going back can get harder ive heard.. good luck

i say u just spend the cash on a jumper and obd1 ecu and run obd1

You just need a bottle of DOT approved VTEC Fluid.

you need to convert to obd I i belive. (the ecu)

whatever gen obd (ecu) you use, make sure the distributor (this can be bypassed if you want to rewire the dist plugs), fuel injectors, o2 sensors, and map sensor match.
