I was wondering if i was able to drive say like from LA to sandiego can i drive that far with my CX, without stopping? that's about 2 hour drive. Or can it at least run a 1 and a half hour trip fine without anyproblems? how long can the cx endure?

Drive it for a month straight, it will run like a charm (considering its in good shape)

I've made numerous 10 hour trips w/ my old cx motor (only stopping for gas). Not a problem.

umm reliability shouldn't be an issue so long its maintained.

Yeah, when my stock CX motor was in there I drove a 3-4 hour trip home right after purchasing. Good thing the guy didn't lie about it being in good shape.

Yeah if your car is in good shape, i dont see why it would be a problem? But if your car overheats etc.. i wouldnt take it very far.

It minght be slow but mine has 244,000 miles and I would drive it for more than that.

My CX motor went 100,000 miles with an average 39 mpg.

With 148k on my 93 Cx I drove it to Orlando 2 weeks ago. Only had to stop every half a tank and that was just to add a quart of oil

All we have is 70hp ..and I wonder why I shake my head about it's speed everytime my friend takes me for a ride in the GSR hatch

Good thing I am about to order my GSR in about 2 weeks

Dam, yea, the CX is no joke. I've seen them do some pretty long cross country trips straight with just stops for gas. That is the good thing about hondas. The Economy Car.

I wouldnt worried with a honda...but if I was to be worried, i'd be more worried if I drove something with 200+...especially boost...them turbos scare me :D

Hell yes it can make it.

I've driven it for 10-hours straight on my way to Michigan at least a dozen times. And, it had 180,000+ miles on the odometer.

These little engines are virtually indestructable if they are not beaten on.

And, when I did my swap, I couldn't bear to sell or junk it, so I made it a little place in my garage. It has been such a good engine...

you should be ok. just don't race anyone in that cx while your at SD, there's some fast rides there.

Yes the CX is a rugged ****.

I've been driving mine HARD for 10k and it had 75k on it before I got it, still it shows NO signs of weakness.
Incredible thing really, I thinks its detuned for maximum lifespan!
My buddies CX motor died at about 130k because he didnt fix a headgasket leak

I beat the SNOT out of my CX, and it just keeps asking for more. If I had a tac, I'm sure I bounce it off the rev limiter at least once a day. I keep waiting for it to blow up, as a reason why I need to get my swap done.. but it just keeps going..

Just change the oil regularly, and you're good to go.
