if your not in a state that has carb laws then boost bro. The amount of hp you make depends on the build.

There was a guy in the FI forumn that was pusing mid 400's with one a while little while ago. I have heard that someone has hit around 600 with one before, I'm not sure if that is true though. Maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

I was going to post a thread just like this, haha. I was planning on boosting my single cam but then I thought about a GSR swap.

what do you want to do with it... i mean all motor, even with all the best parts your only lookin a like 160ish hp... if you throw a turbo @ it, then the hp numbers can get crazy... and there is always nos or a supercharger....

It's possible to break 200+ @ crank if you know what you're doing. Ladyman made 180 crank at stock compression.

I have an EG so i have only revolved my searching around the z6 for an easier swap(god damned d15b7 in their now), but i thought the y8 is the EK si motor? Im not sure but i have seen quit a few NICE turbo setups on them! Check out turbod16.com and go to turbo setups...I have been reading these setups for a while and i feel bad for ek9tune

unless he has more money to build that gsr...A sohc turbo can be boosted and tuned for 300whp for well under the average price of a GSR swap...and for your wieght junkies, the D is lighter! Dont go starting on the b18s having more potential BS. Most of those people never see 300whp in civic and they want to go for the b18 and shoot for 600 and want it to be a DD...idiots.

I believe if you already have the z6 in the car, you can get it built, turbod, tuned for 300-350(max due to detonation for 93octance i read) for well under 2.5k. Which unless your doing the swap yourself will probably be the cost of your swap. ON AVERAGE. I say on average because I hate when some gives and average example to help a guy price something and sum1 post dumb **** like they got their 2.0l mad tyte jdm b18c5 for 200bucks.

Im done rambling

Well said ;]

I've been lurking around the d-series forum. I really think the d-series is a really good inexpensive way to get speed fast. Really considering it, I'll think about it.

considering most of the parts are a heck of a lot cheaper then b/h/k series, yep

and if you blow up your motor you can just snag a new one for under 500
