how hard is an AT to manual swap in an eg hatch?
ok, basically i'm looking to know if theres any wierd customizing that has to be done, or if you can just swap all the parts(assuming you have them all).
I ask because I have an MT eg hatch,
and if I got an AT one(and still had my MT one), could I just swap eachothers parts? or would there be anythign else I'd need to do? any cutting/welding?
thanks.
plz dont just point me to the search function, I know theres probly lots of info on mt swaps, but my question is kind of precise, thanks.

the transmission mount needs to be moved foward an inch. so here's is your two options...
1. buy a manual mount from honda for about $30. cut the AT mount and weld the manual one in to spec.
2. buy a AT to manual conversion mount from jdmshit.com or place racing (i'm sure there are a few other places) for $130-160 and just simply mount it into the existing tranny mount on the AT car.
besides the tranny mount, the rest is a straight foward swap with the exceptions of doing some wiring so you can pull out the key and for the reverse lights to come on. hth
*edit* there are some really good detailed write-ups on this topic if you've SEARCHED!
