How do you remove a stripped wheel stud?
When I turn the lugnut the wheel stud spinds with it. I was going to hack saw it off but I have no thread to cut through. How would I remove this without taking it to a shop?

first, the wheel is obviously still on the car, with the lug nut and stud? so if that's the case, i wouldn't chance it if i were you (unless you know what you're doing)...you could either use an air chissle or some other air or electric tool that cuts metal and try to get it off that way...either way you're gonna damage your wheel if you do it yourself...chances are anyone that tries will damage your wheel trying to get it off...just my advice

My bro had 4 stripped studs in one of his wheels. We took the car to Brake Masters just opened and they replaced all of them for free. They used a big slide hammer, hammered the studs through the front.

Was that with the lugs on? I started drilling it off. I have about 1 mm of metal between the lug and the stud all the way around and it still won't come off...

lug off i'm pretty sure, it's a slide hammer that tightens around the stud and the slide action of the waight pulls it out.

It depends what kind if wheel you have but on my stock wheels I just beat it with a hammer till the stud broke.
I had a skunk2 stud spin in the hub at the track and a friend used a breaker bar to bend the stud enough to bind it in there and loosen the lug nut.

hey wussup my friend had the same problem and he had about 1 -3 inchs left and nothing would work so we had to use a torch and **** the stud and the rim up (replacing rim anyways.)
if you willing to **** up your rim thats how...but just keep hittin it...

I just got it off.... Drilled A LOT! After about 3 hours of drilling it finally came off with a T-Bar.

to to fix the stripped part. suggested to use one size bigger of a stud. if the stock stud is .85, jus need to get a stud sized at .851 or lil bigger jus to fit in in the hub. know what ur goin' through me>>>
