Default spinning wheel stud

any ideas how to get my wheel off without messing it up? i went to take the wheel off and one lug nut was sorta hard to turn then it just started spinning the whole wheel stud.

if im understanding what ur asking...try lowering the wheel to the ground to break the nuts loose, then raise it to take them off.

You might try snapping the stud off and/or putting some lateral load on it when you try to loosen it to make it grab the hub a little. If you can get at the nut, you might be able to notch and split it with an air chisel and spinner cutter.

If that didn't work, I'd probably try pealing the backing plate up, it's just thin sheet metal and see of I could get something like a vice group on the back of the stud. It's going to be tough no matter what. If I could see the back of the stud, I might try sticking it to the hub with a stick or mig welder.

Then I'd replace the hub once I got it apart because it's toast now. That's why the stud's spinning, the splines are stripped out of the hub.
