How do I remove air bag
Hello, I am trying to remove the pass. side air bag in my 2000 civic. It blew in an accident and I can't get the old one out to put the new one in. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks

Huffer,
It's best to take the car to the dealer to replace those airbags. Airbags can be very dangerous to deal with if you're not properly trained.
People have gotten seriously hurt working with them.
Besides, you're probably going to need more than just the airbag. Such as the SRS module.

my friend took his airbag out to install his jdm tray. first disconnect the battery so the bag wont blow up, then you take out the glove box door and take out the screws underneath which I think there's 4, maybe some clips too (i havnt done this myself) and dinconnect the wire harness. You will see as you go the main thing is to remember to disconnect the battery. Then my friend put his fingers underneath the sides of the airbag at the top and pryed it up (side closest to windshield)

Hey Thanks for the info on getting the airbag out. That worked like a charm. It was the pulling from the windshield back that did it. Thanks again.
