With over a half of a million members and over 200 views and not a single reply in over 24 hours, it's ridicules. Yes I went over board, but my statement still stands!!!!

This site is no help!! if you look at my other question I have posted none of them have been answered!!!! I'm sure this site makes over 8k a month on advertising alone. Every question should be answered with in 12 hours!!!

EDIT: I see some question never get answered...
Do you know how frustrating that is!!!

It's a free forum. If you need to get answers faster take your questions to a shop and pay them. People are here of their own free will and are answering questions as a COURTESY to you. Do you actually think every single person that looked at your forum had the answer? I looked at it and I didn't. Would you rather your post be filled up with "I don't know. Good luck."? Do you honestly think they should have dedicated staff online 24 hours a day to help you answer your vague questions?

There is no time frame for getting answers. If you think that there should be then you're int the wrong place. and obviously are not familiar with forums of this nature.

Believe me the owners of this site get paid!!

Again
I'm sure this site makes over $8000 a month on advertising alone. This doesn't include the forum Sponsors!! Every question should be answered with in 12 hours!!!

I run a local forum not car related, and the site makes over 3k a month. That money goes to the admins and moderator and members that are active.
I give away at least $250 in free **** to the members every week.
My admins and forum moderators better answer questions with in 4 hours!!

Yes I do think Honda-tech should have staff that answers questions.
Maybe not 24 hours a day but again all questions should be answer with in 12 hours.

The amount of money this site makes off you and me, just browsing the site make them more money then you think!!

This forum has 500,000 members, more members more ad impressions more money. Yes I understand that probably only 15 to 20% of the members are active, that's still upwards of 100K active members. If the members questions got answered with in 12 hours or less, the amount of active members would increase. In return it would mean more money off ad impressions.

How many page loads do you think Honda-Tech has daily?

I would say its well over 5 million a day and that's a conservative estimate.
Take 10% no lets be way more conservative let say 1% (50,000)
Let say they make 1 penny per impression on 50,000 page impressions.
That's $500 a day. $500 a day times 30 days is 15,000 every 30 days....
& still that's only 1% of the sites traffic..

AGAIN
Believe me the owners of this site get paid!!

If they are not they are stupid!!!!

Do you understand how much all of this hosting, bandwidth and other crap actually costs?

Yea, they may get paid, but as marc mentioned, it's a free site with a 100% user driven community.

The "Owners" of this site getting paid is 100% irrelevant.

Back to the tech...

Yes I know how much it cost!!! If you would have fully read my reply, you would have read that I run a local forum (not car related) and I fully understand the cost that are involved!!

Its not $15,000 a day..

Its not $8000 a month its probably only $1000 or less a month!!!
$1000 for total operating cost a month. IF THAT!!!!

================================================== ======

I have already read the link you posted. It doesn't answer my question..
Thanks for the time you spent searching for me though!!!

In the picture the top crank is a y7 or y8.
The bottom crank is a a6 or z6.

The bottom crank had a spun rod bearing, so its no good.
The top crank the y7/8 is good.
The Y cranks have oiling issues. Its because the crank only has one oil hole in each journal.

The y7 and y8 are the same crank.
&
The a6 and z6 crank are the same.

In fact all the D16 crank are made from the same cast.

The differences are the oil holes and the y7/8 has a grove machined on the end of the crank where the main seal goes, the z6 is smooth.

The Y cranks are cross drilled. Picture is not a D crank just to show what a cross drilled crank looks like.

The z6 crank is just drilled straight through each journal, so it has 2 oil holes on each journal.

The z6 cranks holes are also countersinked, witch is called chamfering.

Therefor yes the a6 and z6 cranks are better or have less oiling issues..

I'm going to take my y7/y8 crank to the machine shop to see if they can drill straight through each journal.
The only problem I can see with this, is the oil pressure. I will have to increase the oil pressure.

By doing this I can't see any cons. The crank will be cross drilled and drilled straight through, I will also get the holes chamfered.

Any input on this matter would be appreciated!!!

Old issue. Should have searched and spared yourself the aggravation. Z6 has superior oiling capabilities. That's known throughout the Honda community. As for the benefits of having a Y7 cranked drilled? Depends on who you get to do the work.

Lemme know if you need me to search and find the answer for you.

Keep this up and you'll earn yourself a permanent vacation buddy. No one here answering questions is making a dime, I'll tell you that right now. I answer questions and moderate here with absolutely no monetary compensation the same as everyone else. If your own forum answers question so fast why didn't you just post there? Yeah that's what I thought.

Edit, changed my mind, enjoy your vacation dude.
