Default how do i adjust the windshield wiper position?

i want my wiper closer to the hood
its hitting the sides
how do i make it go down a little bit

What car? Surely you haven't looked at how these are installed or you will see this is a 10 minute job tops. Easy. Remove nut. Remove wiper and reposition. Reinstall nut.
Also make sure you do not have the wrong size wiper blades installed.

^ if you do what grumble suggested AND it STILL hits the sides, then your bushings on the wiper arms are done. Do what he said first though...easy fix.
