I am looking at getting pilot HID's. Will they fit in the stock headlights and how wide will it shine across road? Does it look bad if not in projectors or if lights are not made for HIDS?

I dont know about the pilots, but some look good and some look bad. I had a set in my stock housings no projectors, and they shined fine, no glare problems, and lit the ground up well, not everything passing by. However, I have seen some that look horrible, they shine everywhere but on the ground and dont have a cut off, and give off splotchy light.

usually if u simply put an HID into a stock housing u'll create a lot of glare, ur best bet is to use a projector type housing, there's a DIY on here I believe on how to make one using ur stock housing..

hmmm-dunno what tod o. I bought clear aftermarket headlights so was hoping I could use thses with HIDS what to do what to do?

If you hook up an HID in an older-style prism housing it'll look like *** and blind oncoming drivers - and as an added bonus you're breaking the law (in every state I've lived in at least). Do you mind giving cops a legitimate reason to pull you over whenever they want?

Using crystal housings shouldn't be as bad but depending on the housing they may have some prism effect (my 96 Civic OEMs had 2 or 3 horizontal prisms across the meat of the beam).

You're best off getting a housing designed for HIDs. You've spent the cash to get HIDs, just spend the pittance required to get housings that can use them correctly. At the very least you may be able to keep those HIDs for a long time - blind the wrong person and you may find yourself without any headlights.
