Default How convert a manual P07 ecu to auto?

I am wondering if it's possible to convert a manual ecu to auto. I found write ups on how to convert manual to auto by removing certain resistors or whatever. Would it be the opposite to convert to auto? More specifically I'm in need of an auto P07 and I can't find one anywhere. I've posted on a few forums I belong to with no luck yet. I've managed to find a manual ecu and wondering if it can be converted. What would be my best bet, converting, chipping or anyone know where I can get one? Also sorry if I posted in the wrong section. Thanks.
