let me understand this correctly...are you trying to use GSR brake pads, on a 98 civic? if so it will not happen becuase civic and integra brakes are totally different.

My car is a 1998 ek. I have a 1996 integra rear disk swap.

What exactly are you trying to open?

-Disconnect the e-brake cable
-remove the lower 12mm bolt on the caliper
-swing the caliper up and remove the pads.
If you are doing rotors too
-remove the two 17mm bolts on the back of the caliper brackets.
-slide the caliper bracket off
-use an impact driver to remove the two screws holding the rotor in place.
-slide the rotor off.

If you dont know how to do something as easy as brakes, perhaps you should seek help somewhere else, besides H-T. Like maybe a friend or somebody you know that show you how to do it.

Or just pay someone to do it.

Your ebrake isnt on, is it?

Inorder to get the caliper to swing up, you need to remove the ebrake cable.

Or I think you can unbolt the top and bottom 12mm bolt and slide the caliper off the caliper bracket without removeing the ebrake cable.
