looks you have a connector on the factory R12 valve, to convert it over to the R134 style. Which is more or less like a air connector quick disconnect coupler.

The schrader valve tool can be had from NAPA for only a couple bucks. Maybe it's just screwed down too far.
I'm assuming you do have the proper tools to evac the system before you do anything?
1)Just letting refridgerant into the air is just as illegal as dumping a bucket of used oil onto the ground.
2)It's very dangerous to just crack a line open. Everything is under high pressure, you can go blind instantly if anything spreayed in your face.
3) If you crack it open and let everything spray out, then the refridgerant oil gets out, makes a mess, and causes equipment failure real quick if the correct ammount of oil isn't put back in.

^ this....
its like a hundred bucks -(well spent in my op)
Ive been around when an a/c system high pressure line went, and it was NOT pretty. For the amount of grief and things, Id say...shore up a few bucks and take it to a shop. You can save money doing oil changes/routine maint etc.

You guys are off.
I didn't release the freon out.
It started leaking when i took the cap off because the valve core was loose.
I just bought a schrader tool and tighten it.
My only problem now is finding the right hose or adapter to use so i can add freon.
The adapter that is on there now is too tall= [
The hose can't reach the valve core.

You did'nt say the schrader valve was leaking. I saw the green dye elsewhere, so I assumed you had to replace the whole fitting.
Yeah, just take it to a shop. A set of hoses and guages cost about $300 my cost from Matco Tools... I'm sure you could get them cheaper somewhere, but I turn wrenches for a living, so I buy the better stuff.

im not one to ask about a/c i thought i just try to help. autozone has the fittings for both high and low side cost is under 10 bucks. then you just get a can of the R134 re-charge stuff, but if you're system is still R12 you're suppose to evac all the old stuff out and possibly change o-rings. this is what i've read.... also it's probably cheaper to just pay someone to charge it, to properly do it you need the three gauges, and a vac pump...
