The horn does not work any more and the SRS light will not go off. Everything was working when I put it back in last week. Then one morning i went out to leave for school and my SRS light was on and I found out later my horn didn't work. I have tried reseting the airbag. All the wiring is connected correctly. Could the wiring coupling in the steering column be the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I get the car back later tonight so I will check out the problems again later.

happened on my 99. srs light was on, no horn, no cruise.

problem was the cable reel.

Wat do you have to do to fix it? Do you have to buy a new one, if so how much are they?

You have to remove the steering wheel and part of the steering column to replace it. I believe there is a how-to on changing your cable reel on here. You can buy one new, or chance it and get one used from a junked car. Sometimes you can find people selling them on here.

It was working when I put every thing back in is there a chance it just came loose or something?

your clockspring broke! there's ribbon cable inside that snaps when u don't properly stall it. $70 junkyard
