hood pins
im looking for hood pins for ym friends civic. now before you start flaming me, this isnt for apperance or the 'racer' look. his hood has fliped up on him twice already and severly damaged his roof and this is, obviously, a serious safety issue. we cant figure out why it keeps doing this, because the hood latch system (or whatever it is called) appears to be working fine. so as a safety precaution we're putting in hood pins (even though it will look ridiculous on his fairly stock civic). anyone know what brand is good and fairly cheap but functional? and where (website) can i buy them at?

Maybe for NASCAR or a crazy race car with no factory hood latch. Mine work fine for daily driving. Two years and running.

Not everyones CF hood latch is as strong as yours. Hence, why the rest of us need hood pins.

don't bother getting them from a website, just go to any performance shop and they should have them in stock. Cost like $10-15 maybe. Should be instructions with them where to mount them and how.
Your friend could probably fix his hood latch too with prolly 30 minutes and some bolts / lube.

you are a jackass most cf hood manufacturers require them because like jdm ej1 stated cf is not as strong as the stock ones and require a little extra help to hold them down.
