Default hood hitting motor problem

I have a 99 civic ex with a 98 gsr motor in it. Just finished the swap and the hood will not close all the way. Looks like it is hitting the motor. I know this swap is done all the time has anyone else had this stupid problem? I really dont feel like cutting my hood but im not sure if that is what I have to do. Any help on this???

just cut some of the brace's on your hood to make it fit (right there where it hits) with a dremal or die grinder, it's easy.

Thats what I was going to suggest. But I would have been kidding. I believe ej0513 has the right idea. I think something went wrong when you did the swap.

how are you going to suggest something for looks when he has an actual problem that can break something? he has an OEM hood and a motor that obviously fits with no problems in my car and MANY others. leave your hood the way it is and check all your mounts again and make sure the parts you used are the correct ones for you application. thats my suggestion.

I've heard of this happening before. Every car is different. Just notch the inside of the hood or like they said put some washers on the back where it screws in to space it up
