hondata tune
I got a 99 00 civic si. have a few mods:
b16a2
intake
port polished head
1stage racing clutch and light flywheel
greddy exhaust
type r header
type r throttle body
type r intake manifold
type r cams
high compression
jdm p30 ecu
i was planning on tuning it with an hondata kit. Which is the best and how does it work? i understand you put it inside the ecu right and tune it? what if you take it out will it mess up the ecu or bring it back to its original state? thanks.

well maybe no but what if you mess up and u run it rich/lean. u will lose power. hondata shines at the dyno. A friend has a dyno in signal hill ca . i remember a kid with a k20r in a crx first dyno run made 160 hp to the wheels, after all the runs where made the motor made 210 to the wheels. hondata baby.

Re: hondata tune
wow yall guys r way wronge, dude with the mods u have u might, i mean might make like 160 maybe 170 it will take pistons and head work to get 200. and u dont put hondata in urself u send ur ecu to them and they put it in there. i have s200 for sale right now. but to be honest u are not going to wawnt to just try and tune it urself. its not just that simple and u have to have a wideband o2 sensor to use to tune it. u would be better to just let someone who has done it before tune it

do u plan on going a lot bigger then what u have. s300 is the easiest and best to get prob for just about anything. but to be honest i have friends with 500 600 horse on chrome. but they could prob pull more with s300, it is just a better base to start with u know. has a lot of stuff u cant do with chrome or neptune and stuff

Re: hondata tune
s300 is going to be good no matter which route u go but u r not going to see more than like 220 or so with a daily driven na build, they just dont make that much power. unless u go ***** to the wall with them
