Default hondata??

hi everyone, my P30 ECU seems to be having a few problems here lately. VTEC engagement does not occur until 6200rpms and my redline is 500rpms to low, 7750 rather than 8250. Anyhow, the tuning shop i went to recommended hondata but idk if paying $300 for an S200 unit is worth it just to fix my VTEC point and redline. Are there any other possible options to fix this or should i just suck it up and buy hondata?

p.s. as far as i can tell the ECU is unmodified and the engine is a stock B16

thanks any help is appreciated.

if it's just a stock b16, then leave it alone. are you engaging vtec everytime you shift? hondata is a excellent system, but you really don't have any mods for it.

no check engine lights. The tach is off by 500rpms. I'm not sure if you would consider i/h/e stock or not, but i/h/e doesnt make a big difference when considering hondata... right?
