Default zdyne or hondata? any big differences?

What's the big differences other than:

1. the Zdyne was made for pre-obd cars
2. hondata requires burning and installing chips?

I've decided that I'm gonna sell the Haltech and get one of these plug and play ECU's instead, I'm not going full drag, so I wouldn't really need it...

This is going in a CRX, which would you rather have?

Hmm cant speak on the haltech unit but from what I've heard its very user friendly. I would try to keep that and get more accustomed to it if you already have it. However if you really want to get rid of it I would recommend hondata. I know the vtec activation between zdyne and hondata differs but no biggie. Also hondata offers datalogging along with the full throttle shift option and 2 step rev limiter.

Haltech is pretty simple, once you get it wired up you will be set. Else, get hondata.

If you go Hondata, you won't need a conversion harness, just a JDM VTEC ECU

I would unconsciously, without even having to think about it, choose the Haltech! Gawd, you've got everything you could possibly need inside that baby, plus it has all the datalogging features of the hondata. And if you ever (god forbid!) sell your Honda and move to another platform (nissan/mitsu/etc..) well, you still have the Haltech to plug in.. don't need to sell ur zdyne/hondata for another standalone/piggyback ECU.

If you sacrifice a burnt ECU, you can make the Haltech Plug and Play. I sacrificed my ECU, since my OBD2 Prelude ECU is useless for anything other than scratching your a$$.

Mark Bremer has alot of experience making these up.

I know Mark...MArk Bremer converted the harenss for me to use all stock honda wiring harness.

As for the Haltech, I bought it with the conversion and the crank trigger hooked up already and a 3bar map for 1300 bucks...That's what I want because it was never used.

I'm still debating though
