Honda Quoted me $165 for wheel studs, is it worth it?
I went to honda today to ask them how much it would be to replace a wheel stud that broke and they said about $115 for parts and labor. I asked how much for all of them replaced and they said about $50 more for the other ones to be put in. I am wondering is it worth having them do it or are there other shops that will press the hub out to change the wheel studs?
any info is helpful

all u got to do is hammer them out. to put new ones in all u have to do is get a couple of washers and then the nut after that just run them in til they are nice and tight in there. should.t take u long. takes longer to take the tire offf than the the time it takes to replace the studs in my opinion.

start off by looking at the thread i directed you towards. obviously, there won't be clearance issues because of the necessary steps to remove the wheel studs.

take it to a brake or tire shop, at my shop we charge $25 per wheel (no matter how many on that wheel are broke, plus parts. usually runs aroun $35 parts, tax, labor.

Right now i have 4 stock style studs for my car that i got from AdvanceAutoParts. Are they just as good as ones I would get from Honda or would it be better to get OEM studs?

Good link.
Is this in the FAQ archive? It should be.

parts are cheap. just take the spinde off of the hub and put in the new ones, repack the bearing and hammer back in.

They are no different except the price, and having been made by an aftermarket manufacturer.
