Honda Civic Hb Motor???
hey i was just wondering wat kind of motor my stock 96 Dx Hatch has... i was told it was a b14 but i just dont know.. im a semi noob wen it comes to cars but if some one could help me out that would be great.. and also what kind of potential does this motor have... thanx and info would be great thanx

there's no such thing as a b14. A stock DX has a 1.6l d series engine. As far as potential goes for this engine, you could swap a vtec head on it(search mini-me swap) Your best bet would be to swap the engine for something with a little more potential.

D16y7...non vtec...weak....and worth nothing but great for boost. do a full intake manifold swap from an EX motor (D16y8) and turbo. it works very good with a retuned and remapped EX ECU. potentially better than the EX motor itself because mechanically speaking the V-TEC is not a good motor to turbo.
