Default Homemade catback for Del sol

Hello, I was just curious of whom has done there own catback exhaust on a eg hatch or del sol with a d16z6 motor.

I currently have a 95 del sol si d16z6 with H/I/E some fuel upgrade's and a pulley, Nothing much, I have 2.5 inch kteller catback with a ebay muffler, But i noticed my gas milage went down pretty bad, full tank gets me about 200 mile to the tank..And even less with a heavy foot..

I was thinking about doing 1 or 2 things

keep the 2.5 catback but either run a stock oem mullfer or run a Flowmaster 40 series or Maybe a ES oval muffler.

Or redo the catback and run 2 inch pipe ( to try and get some gas milage back) and run a flowmaster 40 series muffler, or a Es oval or a Stock muffler..

Has anyone tryed any of theses Set-ups before?

My exhaust right now is Very Loud and Deep, Sounds like a Built evo8 with 4inch exhaust..lol Untill i get into vtec its all raspy..ehh

I would rather have a deep quit tone and hear my intake over the exhuast,

Any Imput guys and girls?

Bad gas mileage: Replace your cap/rotor/wires/plugs and undo any of your current "fuel upgrades." You don't need any so you're wasting fuel for no power.

Sounds like crap because you purchased a no-name brand from eBay

you either have an exhaust leak, or a messed up cat converter, when i put my OEM one back on, it sounded wonderfull

2.5" is wayyyy overkill for your setup. That and your "fuel upgrades" are your problem. A single cam with an intake and header DOES not need any fuel upgrades and/or a 2.5" exhaust
