hmm busted ecu!?

hmm busted ecu!?
ok i bought a p2p ecu off ebay....23 bucks shipped i was suprised my self no one bided on it...well went to install it today and car wouldnt start...seem to hav the same affect if the ecu wasnt pluged in at all cars auto converted into manual auto ecu works fine...
could it be i was burnt with a busted ecu?

well my car now is a manual but it used to be an auto matic, im still using the auto ecu seeing how im having probs with the manual one not working
