Default HKS Exhaust

Hey guys,

I got this HKS Hiper Muffler and I was told it would fit a 92-95 Hatch but it won't fit, it's too long, it almost seems like it would fit a coupe.

Does anyone know based on the photo I have attached that if the muffler would fit a coupe?

Thanks, in advance for any help.

ps Yes, I have already done a search and all the images I found didn't help.

I found that universal mufflers tend to be on the long side. You might have to put it on a really big angle? My buddy has the HKS HIpower cat back and his muffler is half the length of a uni.

Actually, the muffler picture is a HKS Hiper specifically for the Civic hatch or coupe(?) That's what I'm trying to find out.

Did your buddy have a hatch?

I think the muffler is the same but the piping from the muffer back is the problem too long.

I had this problem when I bought my HKS Hiper Catback from a friend who works at nopi. If you have the box that it came in look for the product number on the side, write it down and visit the http://www.hksusa.com website, check out their product numbers and see if they match. The one they gave me was for a 92-95 coupe and therefore was too long, so I had to wait 2 days to exchange it. Hope that helps for a great exhaust.

the hyper exhaust are supposed to be at an angle. i have the hyper cat-back and i didn't think i had the right one when i pulled it out of the box, but we layed it out, and it was right, just sits at a pretty decent angle.

If that's the exact rear section, it doesn't even look like the right bend to me.

I got Tanabe racing medallion that was too long as well--it was for a coupe.

don't forget that the Hiper is an UNDER axle design...guess you won't know till you try to bolt it up to your car. Very nice exhaust..one of the best sounding exhausts i've heard on a civic.
