They are the same muffler, the only difference is the tip. The si can with a crome tip, all other trim levels didnt have the tip...

Really? Because the outlet pipe does seem longer (regardless of the chrome tip).
Maybe I got an EK muffler? Or are those the same as the EG's?

what muffler did you buy, and what car do you have. It should fit tho. You can get anything to fit. Most likely you will just have to have them cut and weld it right where the muffler starts, nd maybe move the hangers depending on what muffler you use. But that should be like 25 bucks...

Hatch uses a muffler with a way shorter tailpipe coming from the muffler. You'll need to cut it off to fit or it will stick outabout 8" or so... Put it on, mark it, pull it off and cut, reinstall. If you still have the tip, it's just held on by a 10mm headed set bolt, it can be reinstalled on newly cut pipe...

The tip was actually an option for other trims too.
I'm not sure how well a '99-'00 Si coupe muffler will fit on a '92 DX hatch though.

Re: (Jsk20R)
it could fit if you cut off at least 8" from the flange before the piping enters the muffler section.
i tried to save my Apexi WS from my coupe for my hatch, but it still didn't fit in the end. rattlled really bad. not really worth trying to make that coupe muffler fit onto the hatch for how much trouble it'll be...
