Default Hit bump car shut off

I was driving through town today and went over a sewer cover. After I hit the sewer cover my car shut off/ stalled. As i pulled over i shut off the car and restarted it, it would start then the RPM's would drop and stall the car out again. I repeated this like 4 times. After the 4th time i restarted again and it ran like a champ. This only happened one time before and that was in december.

My question is why would it do this? To stiff of a ride and something just hit to hard and caused the car to shut off? No CEL came up, though I wish maybe it did. Thanks for the help.

Car- 95 civic Ex- I/H/E. - D16z6

Thanks.

how heavy is your key chain? try to drive your car with one key and go over bump and see if it shut off.

Had the same **** happen to me. And now (about a month or so later) it shuts off whenever it wants and im starting to throw a code 15 (ignition). Somehow when i bottomed out on a curve in the road (not a dip you know when the road on the freeway goes down then up) it fucked up my ignition now the car wont start. Next time the car dies look to see if your throwing a code. Good luck.
