Default high flow cat

which high flow cat would you get? bomz vs carsound? i see both cat for $50 on ebay but carsound one is universal so i gotta take to local muffler shop to weld flanges.

i have dc 4-2-1 header and greedy evo catback. what size inlet and outlet do i need on 95 del sol?

Those bomz cats arent' actually "catalytic" convertors they are resonated test pipes. If you want to be earth friendly get the carsound. If you don't care, get the bomz.

In my honest opinion, keep the stock cat for emissions, run a resonated test pipe for track. 2.25 should be good.

I'm running a resonated test pipe right now and it does quiet the exhaust down a little bit (definetly better than my broken random technologies cat) but like i said if you want to stay clean, get a 2.25 inch carsound.

I would just say keep your stock converter. all converters need to do the job acording to local laws... so those high flow cats to me are kinda stupid. If it's gonna be legal, it's probably not gonna flow any more than a stock one. And those 'racing' cats... ttsss, how many race events require a catalytic converter that you know of...

High flow convertors can come in a much wider diameter. This replaces the bottle neck that a stock convertor creates. I have a carsound I ordered off ebay. 50 plus 75 to get it custom welded with new flanges. Just passed yesterday. Thats what I would recomend.

I have a 2.5" Carsound that has been shown to flow much better than the stock cat. - almost as much as a 2.25" testipipe in fact - and I recently had no problems passing NJ emissions with it.

$75 to get welded with flanges? it's more than the cat itself. I expected for around $30 or so.....
