ive never done anything with involving wiring on a car before, and im going to try to install a tach in my car.... anyway, i did a search on how to install it, and i know where all the wires go to, my dumbass ques. is; when i "splice" the tach wires with the oem wires, do i just cut the oem wires and tape the tach wires to them?

sure. just go to your hardware store and buy some butt connectors. I rather use that then electric tape but if you dont really care tape would work fine.
