I got headers without o2 sensor,
should i buy a cat converter that Utilizes factory O2 sensor position
or do i still need one to be welded in?

however you set up your exhaust, you need your o2 in there somewhere. A good exhaust shop can weld in an o2 bung very cheap. IMO, unless you are turbo, get a high flow cat, you won't gain anything noticable with a test pipe while NA.

a $27 ebay cat is not a real cat. its a resonator. Look for brand names on ebay for cats. I got a magnaflow hi-flow off ebay a while back for about $50 shipped.

not all cats come with the o2 bung in it, you may still have to add it. That all depends on the cat, so you may still be better off just going to an exhaust shop. $20-$30 is about right at the exhaust shop. You can't really get anything done cheaper than that.

The best place for the primary O2 is within a few inches of the final merge in the header.
you can technically put it in the cat if there is a bung for it before the cat material.
if the bung is after the cat material you will run super rich at all times and may throw a CEL.

Re: (Relic1)
Just do what he said and go to an exhaust shop. You shouldn't have any problems after that.. make sure when you extend your wires that you do a nice job to prevent a CEL from popping up someday.
