Help W/ ARP Head Studs
I got a Y8 motor that would have been done and put in this weekend, if it weren't for my head studs. For some reason, all bolts except one stick up out of the block way more than needed (about and inch) so my head cannot be tightened down. One bolt is fine, and that hole in the block measures down about a 1/4 inch further than the rest of the holes. I don't understand!!
Does ANYONE have head studs (ARP or stock) for a Y8 motor they can measure the length for me? Is it correct that one hole in my block is deeper than the others?
thanks, I really need an answer today!

check that you have the correct part number. Your threads may need cleaning. Get a tap and some tap fluid and try again.
