HELP!! vx wiring=frustration to me
ok heres the problem....I had a b18c5 in a 93 dx coupe with a p28 mugen program. I paid my friend to do the swap and everything was coo. I recently got a VX hatch and wanted to put the motor in there so this time i tried it myself since everyone says its easy.... well it was and everythings working fine but now its throwing a CEL code 1 (Oxygen Sensor "A" (Primary) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor) what the heck is this? where is it and do i need to replace it??
Also... the wire for the knock sensor (D3) on the VX there is a wire thats already there is it ok to cut it? i know i dont need it since im running a p28 but i might switch to a p30 later so i wanted to know what it was for
Thanks in advance for the replies and help that anyone can provide and sorry for the long post. Thanks again

it is possible that you just forgot to connect the 02 connector to the main harness (make sure the wires from the 02 aren't just hanging but connected to the wiring harness) - check the easy things first.

Re: HELP!! vx wiring=frustration to me (Phantom)
all the wires are connected and about the knock sensor.....I'm not cuttin the knock sensor wire but on the stock VX harness there is a wire thats already going to D3 so i was wondering if it was ok to cut it? I think im going to just replace the O2 sensor but it wasnt throwing any codes when it was in my other car so i was wondering if the sensor could get damaged from the swap......btw i didnt even unplug it when i pulled the motor out.

02 sensors are very sensitive. You may have knocked it during the swap. Check connections then replaces the sensor.

O2 sensor could actually have gone BAD. If the connection is good and all, but you still throw the code, then chances are that the sensor needs to be replaced.
